Privacy & Data Ethics Hub
At KeyTech Security, we believe in “Privacy by Design.” Our Facial Recognition and ANPR solutions are engineered to prioritize data security, local processing, and full compliance with international biometric standards.
Software Data Architecture
Unlike generic surveillance tools, our software is built on a “Privacy-First” framework.
- Edge-Based Processing: Initial biometric processing occurs on your local hardware. This minimizes the risk of data interception during transit and ensures real-time performance.
- Non-Reversible Hashing: Our system does not store raw images of faces for recognition. Instead, it creates a unique mathematical "biometric template" (a hash). These hashes are non-reversible, meaning they cannot be reconstructed back into a human face.
- Encrypted Cloud Resilience: For system restoration and business continuity, we utilize AES-256 end-to-end encrypted cloud backups.
- Data in Transit: All data sent to the cloud is encrypted via TLS 1.3.
- Data at Rest: Backups are stored in localized, tier-4 data centers (e.g., AWS/Azure regions) to comply with regional data residency laws.
- Key Management: Encryption keys are client-managed, ensuring that neither KeyTech Security nor cloud providers can access your sensitive biometric templates.

Automated Data Governance
To assist our clients in staying compliant with GDPR, BIPA, and other global regulations, our software includes automated governance tools:
- Customizable Retention Schedules: Administrators can set automated “Purge” rules.
- Access Control & Audit Logs: Every interaction with the software is logged. Our multi-factor authentication (MFA) ensures that only authorized personnel can access sensitive security data.
- Data Minimization: We strictly process only the data required for the specific security task (e.g., access control or threat detection) and do not engage in unauthorized data scraping or third-party data sharing.
